Spetses
is the southernmost of the Saronic
Gulf islands and is easily reached by daily ferryboat from Piraeus. There is
a hydrofoil service from Zea port with many daily departures. Although it is
only a small island covering about 22 sq. km.What Spetses lacks in size it
makes up for in character, charm and pure beauty that cannot be matched by
other more famous islands. Approaching the island by sea, the one thing that
all visitors find remarkable is the green of the pine covered hills.
 Those familiar with John Fowle's novel, "The Magus", will be interested to
hear that the mystical house "bourani", is on the island. Spetsopoula, the
domain of the"Niarchos" shipping magnate is a small island opposite Spetses.Spetses
is probably at its most beautiful in the spring months of April and May
when there is a feeling of expectation in the air and the streets are lined
with wild spring flowers. The forest is far greener than in July and August
and the temperatures are perfect for sunbathing, but not uncomfortably hot.
In September and October, after the fever of July and August, it is once
more time again to enjoy the beauty of Spetses. The temperature is "just
right" for sunbathing and everyone welcomes the peace after the long, hot
summer months.
Isola di Spetses, è la più meridionale delle isole
del Golfo Saronico ed è facilmente raggiungibile ogni giorno con traghetto
dal porto di Pireo. C'è anche un servigio di aliscafo dal porta Zea
(Atene), con molte partenze giornaliere. Si può andare anche con la machina
gratis (informazioni solo ai nostri clienti che prenotano i soggiorni da
noi). E' una piccola isola di 22 mq km piena di fascino e bellezza
coperta di pini. Di fronte c'è una piccola isoletta di proprietà del
armatore Greco Niarchos. Spetses probabilmente è una molto bella isola in primavera
nei mesi di
aprile e maggio, quando vi è un sentimento di attesa in aria e le strade
sono rivestiti con selvatici fiori di primavera.
 La foresta è di gran
lunga più ecologici nei mesi di luglio e agosto e le temperature sono
l'ideale per prendere il sole, ma non un insopportabile caldo. Nel mese di
settembre e ottobre, dopo la peste del mese di luglio e agosto, è una
volta ancora di più tempo per godere della bellezza di Spetses. La
temperatura è "giusta" per prendere il sole e tutti accogliono con favore la
pace dopo la lunga, calda estate.
